Hello Charles,
Yes I have had my spirits soar and my heart beat in total excitement but never like this years jubilee!!! Oh my, the vintage yard ornaments, the organ music,Bob Baker, the ambrosia fairy plus snow flakes and singing. You have really out done yourself and raised the bar a few notches. We cannot thank you enough for making December the 17th the greatest memory of the year! It will be relived over and over in our minds and cherished always! The hugging and book signing was an extra bonus that is absolutely felt within the deep confines ,meant for special people only, part of the heart!Seeing twin and big sister and my self on the big screen circa 1952 with the dolls that were put away for thier own safety, PRICELESS! And then just when you settle down the next slide comes up showing the twins in the yellow homemade dresses, socks of differnt colors and in total dissaray( one sock up and another down) ! Twin Bonnie, no I want the red socks, twin Lynn,” no red doesn’t go with yellow”!!!, shrugging shoulders, socks everywhere, and both twins win each making their own personal choice! A call for independance and from twin oppression ! How did the adults miss that detail? Bonnie and Lynn knowingly thinking, heh,hee we did it again.
You are a gem Charles and you get it!

I am a NY transplant, and this California weather throws off all my Christmas instincts. Your show was exactly what I needed to get in the spirit. Happy holidays!

Charles:
Your show last night at the RedCat was hilarious. To vicariously live the aesthetic trauma of the 50s and relive the 60s was only possible through your good humor. The “dress as decor sisters” sent me into hysterics! Well done and happy holidays indeed!

We loved the slide show, I am inspired to make a slinky cocktail dress for a New Nears swingin’ cocktail party!

Hey Charles -
My husband and I brought two friends your Holiday Extravaganza last night. (We saw your regular So. Cal. slide show a couple of years ago and had to go back.) They did not know what to expect, but I know they were pleasantly surprised. It was awesome! I never heard one of my friend’s laugh so hard. I was bummed you had sold out all your “Americana the Beautiful” books — it’s on my husband’s Christmas list. But I went to Border’s this morning and, lo and behold, I nabbed the last one! He’ll be thrilled. He’s a huge photography buff and loves your humor. Thanks again for a great night. And hope you didn’t mind working on your birthday! — Lisa
