Modeling the Tree Skirt, Southern California, 1957
A serpentine, sidewalk-less, suburban street frames front lawns planted with modest winter-blooming posies. A toddler age Mexican fan palm and a street lamp flank the driveway. Both are bordered by circular cement scallops, which match the scalloped hemline on that smart felt tree skirt.
I’m not sure if the lady modeling or working the curb?
Here’s to working a tree skirt and YOU!!!

I dig that shirt too! I’d wear it everyday.

What puzzles me is why she had to haul herself all the way out to the driveway apron to have this picture taken.

Do you miss Audrey Hepburn haircuts (this one with spit curls!) as much as I do?

I remember wearing colorful skirts and blouses
like that and how it made us so happy to be wearing decorated clothing. It made us feel
beautiful and happy.

Attended your tour on 12/9 which was awesome. Unfortunately I’m unable to make any of the Redcat shows.

I do this every year with our family tree skirt before I actually put it on the tree. Hmm, I might need to hide the photographic evidence of that….
